The exhibition, launched by ASM, a leader in semiconductor equipment, has already attracted over 7,300 visitors, including approximately 5,700 students from low-income schools in Phoenix who attended through sponsored field trips. The hands-on activities, such as creating electrical circuits with their bodies and engaging with a nearly 8-foot-tall display of semiconductor technology, deepen students' understanding of an industry that plays a crucial role in their daily lives.

Breakthroughs in semiconductor technology are reshaping the landscape in Arizona, with the Semiconductor Industry Alliance predicting around 115,000 new jobs by 2030. However, an alarming 58% of these jobs may remain unfilled unless initiatives like this exhibition stimulate interest in STEM careers among young learners. "The exhibition has not only introduced countless guests to semiconductor science but has also inspired them to see themselves as the engineers and innovators of the future," remarked Tammy Stewart, Interim CEO of the Arizona Science Center.

The Arizona Board of Regents' AZ Opportunity initiative aims to connect higher education to the state's evolving workforce, strengthening the pipeline from academia to high-wage jobs while attracting significant investments to the state. Since 2020, Arizona has secured over $210 billion in semiconductor-related investments, more than any other state.
